Education

I have obtained 3 degrees from Hodges University in Naples, FL: Master of Legal Studies where I received a 4.0 in 2015 Bachelor of Legal Studies where I received a 3.9 in 2012 Associate of Paralegal Studies where I received a 3.9 in 2011 Every semester I was on the Dean's list or honor roll, and I graduated summa cum laude. Shortly after I received my bachelor's degree, I was asked to be on the committee for the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges where I assessed student papers to ensure we met our accreditation standards.

Experience

I was a tutor for the Naples Park Elementary school and a tutor to my peers at the University. Students not only need to be guided and helped to improve their work, they also need to know where they are already succeeding. A good tutor affirms the student where they are then shows them how they can improve. I want to be a tutor because I can truly empathize with the students, and I have the ability to communicate what I am trying to convey in a way that is easy to understand. I have taken a myriad of law classes from legal research and writing to Constitutional Law. Though my degree is in legal studies, I also excelled in English, grammar and writing, and history. I currently have a certificate of mediation through the state of Florida and am working toward my State Supreme Court license. I will also be a certified arbitrator by the end of November.

Hobbies

I truly enjoy exercising to keep my mind and body healthy. It forces you to keep your commitments and teaches discipline. I also love cooking and baking because I get to use my creativity in a very relaxing way. Another hobby that I would love to take up again is building miniature houses. They have everything plus the kitchen sink (literally) to choose from, and it is such a great escape. I also enjoy watching documentaries about World War II and various other periods in history. I also love to read non-fiction. Beyond that, I would have to say my greatest interest is just in laughing. Life is so serious, and anything worth anything in life should be taken seriously, but you still need to find levity. Laughter truly is the best medicine for most ills.
